Connected apps send us the tool calls they make on your behalf (for example, create a sandbox, run a command, or write a file). When you use the ChatGPT or Codex app, OpenAI may also share basic request information (such as IP address and approximate location) and a summary of the request's context, under OpenAI's own policies.
When you use the ComputeSDK CLI or API, we store device-login records, API key metadata (never the full key after creation), and records of the requests made with them.
When you run workloads on ComputeSDK, we store the commands you run (including the command text), output sizes, files you write, processes you start, preview URLs, CI workflow runs, logs and artifacts, and vault secret names and metadata. Secret values are encrypted and can only be revealed if you marked them as revealable.

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties, except in the following circumstances:
Your workloads run on third-party compute providers (for example Blaxel, Tensorlake, Namespace, Vercel, and Freestyle, among others in your organization's provider order). Your code, commands, and files are processed on their infrastructure.
When you choose the compute market, your workload runs on infrastructure offered by third-party sellers. Your provider credentials are never given to them.
When you use the ChatGPT or Codex app, tool results from your requests are sent back to OpenAI to answer your request, under OpenAI's policies.
